Patty Niebling summered in Bay Head all her life and has lived there year round for over 25 years. Her art background stems from two years at Sweet Briar College in Virginia, then three more at Parsons School of Design in New York. She has since taken numerous courses in specialized areas of drawing, commercial design, and pastels, most recently at The Pastel Society of New York. She began her career in advertising art at The Hecht Co. in Washington, D.C. before devoting full time to raising her three children. That career has evolved to fine art with her love of pastels.

She won Second Prize at Monmouth Art Gallery's Riverview Hospital Show, Second Prize at the Papermill Playhouse Show in Millburn, and exhibited at The Annual Pastel Society of America Show in New York. She has been a member of the Ocean Artists' Guild in Island Heights. Her paintings have been sought after by collectors from the East Coast and as far away as Oregon. Subject matter for Patty ranges from local Barnegat Bay and beach scenes, to still life, portraiture, to life at the stable, and much more. Her work can be seen presently at The Anchor and Palette Gallery in Bay Head N.J., Main Street Gallery in Manasquan N.J., and Thistledown Gallery in Spring Lake N.J.
